This 1966 Gibson L4-A is one of our staff favorites! Distinctive, slightly "woody" Gibson sound yet with a full spectrum EQ range. Set up carefully in our shop, we think this a perfect gigging guitar. All solid woods: spruce top, Indonesian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and bridge. Original Grover tuners. The Fishman Prefix Plus electronics sound very authentic and function very well! Fret wear is moderate. Nut width is 1-23/32". Action at the 12th fret (top of fret to bottom of string) is set up in our shop at 7/64" low E and 5/64" high E. Plenty of room on the saddle (1/8" + between the bridge and string). This guitar was very well taken care of; it is in excellent structural condition and cosmetically very, very good: there are a handful of minor dings that you have to look for to find. Ships with Gibson hardshell case.
