2017 Riner Little Boy Blue 00 guitar. This is a fine little guitar at a good price, from a small shop in Virginia. All solid woods: spruce top, maple back and sides, maple neck. We suspect the "Little Boy Blue" name comes from the turquoise color binding and rosette inlays. 1-11/16" nut with 25-7/16" scale. The fretboard and bridge are rosewood and the tuners appear to be Gotoh. Mahogany headstock overlay. When this came to us there was a slight seam separation (not crack) at the top below the bridge; we glued and sealed this--because the open seam had discolored a bit we tinted it to blend more with the top (see pictures) and this came out well. We thought this would sound best with an Ebony saddle so we custom built a compensated one, although we will include the original bone saddle. We also did a level crown and polish on the upper frets to address a fretboard buzz. It plays beautifully and has a lovely, woody-maple sound! Comes with a simple chipboard case.
