This is as fine a sounding archtop as we can recall ever having in our store. Hand made in the shop of Gary Stroup in Eckley Colorado. Gary passed away in 2018. Floating Bennedetto pickup with thumbwheel controls under the  solid ebony pick guard. Ebony fretboard, bridge and tailpiece. 16" lower bout. Oversize headstock with black Gotoh tuners. Deep sunburst.  Light fret wear; 25-1/2" scale and the nut width is just barely under 1-3/4". This guitar is structurally in excellent condition--cosmetically it has the somewhat rough lacquer finish characteristic of Stroup guitars (so, it was originally made that way!) with minimal dings or scratches. The truss adjusts well; the neck is currently set up by us as nearly perfectly straight with an intentional very slight forward bow. Current stringing is 11-52 phosphor bronze and action is set at the 12th fret at 7/64" low E and 5/64" high E--we detected no buzzes playing up the neck with this set up. This instrument has a big sound with outstanding projection, and sounds very good plugged in as well.  The TKL case it comes with would sell for $160 or more.
