When this came into our shop, there was a collective gasp among our staff! This is one very handsome, intricately crafted instrument! A 1927 Bacon & Day Silver Bell Montana. Silver Bells tend to be fancy, but this Montana takes the cake. This is a style 1, built in Groton, CT. It has been thoroughly cleaned, polished and set up in our shop. Lovely ivoroid and inlay work on the fretboard and headstock. Original planetary tuners and patented B&D mute lever. The tailpiece is the original, individually adjustable 4-claw Oettinger.  The nut width is 1-1/8", overall length is 34" and it features an 11" head (Fiberskyn). Fret wear is quite light. This came to us in good condition and with our thorough restoration we are calling it excellent. Ships with a simple (we believe the original) chipboard case.
