A beautiful sounding M.G. Contreras guitar, made in Spain in 1976. All solid woods: cedar top, Indian rosewood (very high grade, we are told) back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard. 50 mm nut. 25-3/4" scale length. Action at 12th fret: Low E = 12/64, High E = 8/64". Room at the bone saddle between string and bridge: Low E = 3mm, High E = 2.5mm. How to describe the sound? It's big--with good volume, rich full spectrum tone and excellent sustain. Freshly set-up, plays well with no buzzes noted up the fretboard. It has a slight (and we think desirable) forward bow to the neck. The intonation is good: please check the YouTube video of intonation on this page! Minimal fret wear. There is one professionally repaired, cleated crack (5") to the treble side above the bridge (see picture). Otherwise cosmetically it is very good with one slight ding (see picture) and very minor, subtle signs of wear here and there. Please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions! Ships with a hardshell case.
